Carson City, NV -
July 13, 2016The Nevada Housing
Division (NHD) has launched a new website, www.homeispossiblenv.org, to
showcase Home Is Possible™ (HIP) programs that offer homebuyer grants to low
and middle-income Nevadans. NHD Administrator CJ Manthe states the Home is
Possible, Home is Possible for Heroes and Mortgage Credit Certificate programs
are vital to helping Nevadans realize their dreams of homeownership.
“So far HIP programs have helped more than 7,000
Nevadans get into homes of their own,” said Manthe. “It is our hope this
website will serve as a one-stop shop for homebuyers, REALTORS® and lenders
looking to get more information and take advantage of these great programs.”
To increase awareness
about the new website, NHD has created a competition for homebuyers called the HIP
Gold Games. Now through September 9, Nevadans who complete the
various milestones of homeownership outlined on the website will become more
knowledgeable on the home-buying process, while also becoming eligible to win
prizes.
HIP Gold Games challenges
are: Find a Lender, Find a Realtor, Complete Homebuyer Education Course, Get a
Home Loan Approved, Share Homebuying Experience and Share a Photo of the Keys
to Your New Home. The first Nevadan to complete all of the challenges will win
Gold ($100 gift card), the second Silver ($75 gift card) and the third Bronze
($50 gift card). A separate prize will be awarded to the HIP Gold Games
follower who shares the most experiences on social media using the #HIPGold
hashtag.
