January 18, 2018The Nevada Division of Insurance is currently accepting
applications for individuals to represent consumers or consumer groups to fill
a recent vacancy on the Network Adequacy Advisory Council.
The Network Adequacy Advisory Council is composed of 9
members appointed by Nevada’s Insurance Commissioner Barbara Richardson. This
Council was created under the Network Adequacy Regulation R049-14 to recommend
additional standards for determining whether a network plan is adequate.
“This is an excellent opportunity for members of the
community who have experience in consumer advocacy to have a seat on the
council to help ensure Nevada consumers have adequate access to providers and
healthcare,” said Insurance Commissioner Barbara Richardson.
The deadline to submit an application is February 8, 2018,
no later than 5:00 PM (PST). The applications may be sent to:
