Terry Reynolds Appointed Department of Business and Industry Deputy Director

Carson City, NV - November 20, 2013

Bruce Breslow, Director of the Department of Business and Industry announced that Terry Reynolds has been named Deputy Director.  The appointment was made after former Deputy Director Shannon Chambers transitioned to a new position within the organization.  Reynolds will be responsible for managing the financial, human resource and administrative functions of the Department.

 

Reynolds has more than 35 years management experience in the both the public and private sectors. He received his BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Nevada and served as a legislative intern in the Nevada Legislature and a Congressional intern for the US Senate. He was formally the president of The Reynolds Company, providing governmental affairs representation, project management, and entitlement expertise to public and private clients.

 

He served four years as general Manager for the Resort at Red Hawk (A Loeb Enterprises Company) where he was responsible for all resort operations as well as the entitlement of Wingfield Springs and the Foothills planned resort communities. From 2003 to 2008, he was senior vice president for external affairs and entitlements with the Wingfield Nevada Group Management Company (WNG). He oversaw entitlements and governmental affairs for WNG Developments and acted as liaison to federal, state and local agencies for various entitlement permits.

 

Previous to this, Reynolds worked in municipal government for 21 years as a city manager for the cities of Prescott Arizona, Elko and Sparks, Nevada. He also served as an administrator officer in the Court Administrator’s Office of the Nevada Supreme Court handing legislative matters for the lower courts.
