Division of Industrial Relations Workers’ Compensation Section will be hosting
the 4th Annual Nevada Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference
in conjunction with the nonprofit International Workers' Compensation
Foundation. The conference will be held August 14 and 15, 2014 at the Tuscany
Suites and Casino in Las Vegas.
The two day conference will feature a variety
of informative topics such as workplace violence, audits, recognizing stress
claims and current litigation trends.
The conference is open to anyone interested in receiving valuable
information and education about the workers’ compensation system in Nevada.

About the Division of Industrial Relations
The mission of the Division of Industrial
Relations, an agency of the Department of Business and Industry, is to promote
the health and safety of Nevada employees and ensure injured employees receive
all benefits to which they are entitled. The Division includes the following
units: Workers’ Compensation, Nevada Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Training Section (MSATS), Safety
Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) and the Mechanical Section. The
Division maintains offices in Carson City, Elko, Henderson, and Reno, and an
additional Mine Safety and Training Section office in Winnemucca.
