Las Vegas, NV -
February 28, 2014The
Nevada Commission for Common-Interest Communities and Condominium Hotels (Commission)
imposed disciplinary action in three cases heard before the panel this
week.
The
Real Estate Division of the Department of Business and Industry brought cases
against Diane Wild and Dev Inder Pappas for hearings before the Commission,
alleging that both respondents knowingly and wilfully violated multiple
statutes of State law.
Two
separate cases involving Diane Wild were brought before the Commission. Wild, whose supervisory community manager
certificate was revoked by the Commission in March 2013, was found to have
violated 33 separate statues of NRS 116 and NAC in her duties as a community
manager and reserve study specialist. The violations ranged from profiting from
unauthorized expenditures, failure to cooperate with and impede the Division’s
investigation, demonstrating incompetent, unprofessional, deceitful and
dishonest conduct to failure to exercise ordinary and reasonable care while
performing her duties. Wild failed to appear.
The Commission acted to revoke her community management certificate and
reserve study specialist registration and imposed an administrative fine of $34,855
and ordered restitution of $52,535.
Dev Inder Pappas also failed to appear. Pappas was found to have violated two
separate counts of NRS 116 and NAC. She was found to have
practiced community management with an expired certificate. The
ability to renew her community management certificate has been revoked and
she was assessed an administrative fine of $10,000.
The
next meeting of the Commission for Common-Interest Communities and Condominium
Hotels is scheduled for June 3-5.
