Terry Reynolds named Department of Business and Industry Interim Director

Carson City, NV - November 13, 2018

Governor Brian Sandoval has named Terry Reynolds interim director of the Department of Business and Industry effective November 5. He assumed the role after C.J. Manthe was appointed by Governor Sandoval to serve as a commissioner on the Nevada Public Utilities Commission.  

Terry has more than 35 years of management experience in both public and private sectors. Reynolds has served as the deputy director for the Department of Business and Industry since November 2014. Previously, he was the president of The Reynolds Company, a government affairs and consulting firm. Prior to forming The Reynolds Company, he was senior vice president for external affairs and entitlements with the Wingfield Nevada Group Management Company.

He worked in municipal government for 21 years as city manager for the cities of Prescott, Arizona, Elko, Nevada, and Sparks, Nevada. He also served as an administrative officer in the Court Administrator’s Office of the Nevada Supreme Court. He received his B.A. degree and M.A. in political science from the University of Nevada.
