Nevada to identify and mitigate existing and potential safety and health

Contractors of America’s Woman in Construction Week.
Jana is in constant pursuit of enhancing her professional qualifications
and performance through ongoing career development opportunities in both her military
career and state service. She has acquired her Associate Safety Professional
(ASP) designation through the American Society of Safety Professionals and is
currently working toward obtaining the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
Most notably, she recently obtained a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety
and Health from Columbia Southern University.
According to her supervisors, Jana is a true team player, dedicated to
finding ways to enhance workplace morale, motivation and wellbeing within the
Reno SCATS office. During the disruption created by the COVID-19 pandemic, she
found innovative ways for the office to keep in contact with each other while
abiding by the agency’s mandated health and safety measures. Her positive perspective,
pursuit of excellence and willingness to serve her colleagues at SCATS as well
as her continued loyalty and dedicated service with the Nevada Air National
Guard makes her highly qualified to receive this honor.
