Small Business Owners Can Find Free Help at the Nevada Small Business Resource Fair

Las Vegas, NV April 26, 2022

Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to attend the free Nevada Small Business Resource Fair powered by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry on Wednesday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sahara West Library, located at 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

The event is taking place during National Small Business Week 2022, an initiative of the Small Business Administration, which celebrates the resiliency and tenacity of America's entrepreneurs who are doing their part to power our nation's historic economic comeback.

The Nevada Small Business Resource Fair is a one-stop shop for new or existing business owners to make connections and learn about business structure, taxes, licensing, funding, hiring help, marketing, and more. The fair will feature 50+ government and nonprofit exhibitors from Nevada's dedicated small business and entrepreneurship support community offering free resources and information.

Attendees are also encouraged to attend one or both scheduled learning sessions:

  • 11:00 am- E-Commerce: A representative from GoDaddy will discuss how e-commerce can enable your small business, why it is important, and the tools and platforms available
  • 12:45 pm- Behind the Scenes: Hear from the experts at Nevada Industry Excellence and the University of Nevada Extension about ways to improve and grow your small business operations
"After initially planning to host the event in 2020 and having to take a pandemic-related pause, we are thrilled to finally bring this community together in-person, under one roof to provide comprehensive assistance to those looking to start, grow or get back on track with their business," said Marcel Schaerer, Deputy Director of the Department of Business and Industry. "We know that many have faced unprecedented challenges over the past several years, but our commitment to provide critical support for Nevada's small business sector remains unchanged."
Walk-ins are welcome, but online pre-registration is encouraged. Registration can be completed at https://employnvbusinesshub.org/2022nvsbrf/.
