About the Current
Ombudsman for Minority Affairs
The current Ombudsman
for Minority Affairs is
Leticia Bravo.
Leticia
is tasked with the following duties:
Provide
education, outreach and service programs for
minority groups pertaining to consumer fraud and/or
deceptive trade practices.

Liaison to
minority community groups in matters pertaining
to consumer fraud/deceptive trade practices.
-
Participate in community events such as health
fairs, senior fairs, community festivals, etc.
-
Attend
Latin Chamber of Commerce, Urban Chamber of
Commerce, Asian American Chamber of Commerce
events as needed and/or pertaining to consumer
fraud and/or deceptive trade practices.
Act as a
Liaison to Business and Industry Divisions in
matters pertaining to minority consumer fraud and/or
deceptive trade practices.

Participate in Taskforces and Work Groups which
have relevance to the Ombudsman’s programs and
purview.

Coordinate
with Department of Public Information Officer to
publicize information and events through media
and web site.

Provide
translation materials as needed.
Represent
the Department of Business and Industry in interviews with
minority print and broadcast media in matters
pertaining to consumer fraud and/or deceptive trade
practices.

Maintain
positive media relationships.

Develop
media campaigns regarding minority consumer
affairs and/or deceptive trade practices.
-
Pitch,
write, and develop stories for print and
broadcast media for the Department of Business
and Industry.
Act as a
liaison with the State of Nevada’s elected
officials.
