Director
Bruce Breslow
today
announced
several new leadership appointments for the Divisions
of Industrial Relations, Real Estate and Manufactured Housing.
Sharath
Chandra
has been appointed the new
Administrator of the
Nevada Real Estate Division.
Chandra previously served as the Deputy
Administrator of the Nevada Housing Division where he was responsible for
oversight of the daily operations of the agency’s Las Vegas office including
administration of all federal and state housing programs. Prior to joining the
State of Nevada, he worked at the Clark County Community Resources Management
Division where he administered federal and state affordable housing grants.
Chandra
has more than 16 years of managerial and leadership experience in both public
and private sectors.
Sharath
is the Vice President and Treasurer of Home Means Nevada, a nonprofit
organization created to assist individuals and families at risk of losing their
homes.
Joe
“JD” Decker
has been appointed
Administrator for
the
Division of Industrial Relations. Decker was previously
appointed Administrator of the Nevada Real Estate Division in 2014, tasked with
overhauling the agency and improving operational efficiencies. He successfully
led modernization changes and improved process at the Division. Prior to
that, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Nevada Division of Insurance
compliance and enforcement sections.
Decker
came to public service after 20 years in private-sector investigations management
for a nationally regulated bank. He served as a commissioned officer in the
U.S. Army's 12th Special Forces Group. He is a member of the Advisory
Council for the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies, Lee School of Business
at UNLV.
David
Heath
has been appointed
Deputy Administrator of the
Division of Industrial Relations.
He previously served as the
Director of Administration for the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District where
he was responsible for the agency’s finance, information technology,
purchasing, risk management and communications functions. Prior to that, he
served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Nevada Housing Division.
Heath has more
than 20 years of public sector management experience including expertise in
risk management and administration of workers compensation and safety and loss
programs. He has served as the Interim General Manager and CFO of the
Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit and has served as the head of finance with the
City of Santa Rosa, California and Carson City, Nevada as well as and Director
of Administrative Services in Truckee, California. David earned a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and is a licensed CPA in
Nevada.
Steven
Aichroth
has been appointed Administrator of the Manufactured Housing Division.
He
previously served as Chief of Administration at the Nevada Housing
Division. He has also served as Commissioner on the State of Nevada
Commission for Common-Interest Communities and Condominium Hotels. Before
entering public service, Aichroth spent the bulk of his career managing and
running private sector business in Nevada.
