Women
in Construction Week (March 3-9) celebrates and promotes the role of women in the
construction industry. This year’s theme, Keys to the Future, celebrates the
strength and knowledge of women and the vital role they play in shaping the
future of the construction industry.
Nevada
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Safety Consultation
and Training Section (SCATS) of the Division of Industrial Relations are
hosting a free, one-day seminar on Monday, March 4 at 3360 W. Sahara Avenue,
Suite 100 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Attendees
will gain professional insight from successful women in the construction field.
Learn how to succeed in construction and male-dominated industries and get
information about your rights, protections, and available resources.
Guest
speakers include representatives from NAWIC, Nevada Women in Trades, ASSP Women
in Safety Excellence, and Penta on a variety of important topics.
Additionally, meet with the women of OSHA & SCATS.
